As with many things in my finite existence– if it outlives or outlasts me — then it is worth my time and effort.

Yes, a thousand years from now and probably still going strong, if not actually growing strong, since cement products supposedly get harder and more stiff with time–in the absence of acids. The alkali earth of the  Mojave Desert  and alkali Lake Mead water should help do that.
